Not much more to say. James Bond has continued on, of course. But things were never the same with the death of his creator. Ian Fleming didn’t live to see the character’s biggest successes in the cinema.

Today, the movies made by Eon Productions comprise the center of the 007 universe and the continuation novels commissioned by Ian Fleming Publication are off to the side. Both, of course, made possible by a former journalist and Naval officer who knew how to tell a tale.
