Ah…That’s one of the US TV shows we never got in France ( no TV, no VHS,no DvDs…Nothing ) along with Honey West and such classic TV Culture stuff …

Mind you : I was lucky enough to spend my childhood on the Riviera ( ie : could catch Tele Monte Carlo TV ! ) ,otherwise I would never have seen Get Smart, the Irwin Allen shows or much of the ITC british series either!!!!

Strange that you didn’t mention…Brigitte Bardot in the Tracy contenders ,who was asked to screen-test for OHMSS too ( she confirmed it in her memoirs ) . By some twisted fate , she co-starred with the ‘real bond ‘ that same year in Shalako indeed …Catherine Deneuve was also asked but declined too .

Hey guys! Great find, and great blog by the way!

I wish they had used this as the song. It’s obviously legit since the lyrics are clearly written for Quantum of Solace and the music is reminiscent of Arnold’s music in the film.

As you said, “oh well”… We’ll never know.

Still have an official english blurb published by Saab in Summer 81′ for their very first connection with 007 in Licenced Renewed .
Found it in a ..Scottish Saab retailer !
Guess you’d be interested by a scan ( recto / verso ) of said document ?
