A pal of ours brought this to our attention. Jon Burlingame of Variety, an expert on movie and television music, has done an article about longtime 007 composer John Barry. The composer turns 75 on Nov. 3.
Barry hasn’t done a Bond score in 21 years (The Living Daylights) and hasn’t done a movie score since 2001. Still, Barry is still active. And, as European 007 fans enjoy the latest 007 film (and we Yanks still wait), it’s still worth remembering the impact Barry has had on Bond.
