The Lafayette Theater in Suffern, New York, will play the fifth James Bond film, You Only Live Twice, on June 11 as part of its Big Screen Classics program.
The full schedule of the theaters Big Screen Classics can be viewed BY CLICKING HERE. The screening of Twice will be dedicated to composer John Barry, whose work is one of the highlights of the 1967 film.
With Twice, producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman hoped to out-do their huge 1965 hit Thunderball. Some fans don’t feel Twice did so, and star Sean Connery quit Bond the first time after making the movie. Still it’s a spectacle meant for the big screen, especially Ken Adam’s SPECTRE volcano headquarters set, which cost more than the first 007 film, Dr. No. Show time is 11:30 a.m., with tickets at $7.
