Robert Vaughn, the original Man From U.N.C.L.E. gave AN INTERVIEW to the HenryCavill.org fan site to discuss the 1964-68 series and the movie where Cavill will play Vaughn’s Napoleon Solo character.
“I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Vaughn told the Web site, referring to the 30-year-old Cavill. “He’s an attractive actor. I’ve seen him wearing the Superman suit. The main thing he has to have to make the character work is a sense of humor. That’s what we always said… no matter how dire the situations were, the humor was the thing that helped us prevail.”
The 80-year-old Vaughn also declined to give his successor any advice. “No, just try to do what we did and do it a little better.”
