Will Yun Lee

Will Yun Lee

Dave White Presents, the Internet radio show, has an upcoming installment featuring Will Yun Lee, who was in 2002’s Die Another Day and has a recurring role on the new version of Hawaii Five-0 on CBS.

Some more details, courtesy of Wes Britton:

2002 was a banner year for actor Will Yung Lee. For one thing, he starred as baddie Colonel Tan-Sun Moon in the 20th James Bond opus, Die Another Day. In the same year, People magazine named him one of the “50 Most Beautiful People.” Five years later, People included him in their list of “The 15 Sexiest Men Alive.”

Along the way, Lee has been busy on both the small and large screens. He’s had roles in Witchblade, Bionic Woman, Electra, and as a recurring character on Hawaii 5-O. He’ll also be the Silver Samurai in the Upcoming The Wolverine.

On Tuesday, March 12, Will will join Wes Britton to talk about his career, especially what it was like to work on the 40th anniversary 007 film and how his role as Sang Min on Hawaii 5-O was shaped. In addition, he’s the star of a new DVD release called The Four Assassins and we’ll go behind the scenes of that thoughtful character study.

The show will be Tuesday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time and then at 7:30 p.m. Pacific time at WWW.KSAV.ORG. The show will be available as a downloadable podcast the next day at www.audioentertainment.org/dwp.

Lazenby and Flick on Aug. 16 Dave White Presents

George Lazenby, the one-time James Bond, and Vic Flick, the talented guitarist who helped bring The James Bond Theme to life, will be on the Aug. 16 edition of Dave White Presents, the Internet radio show.

The show is celebrating its third anniversary. Here’s an excerpt from a press release about the event:

Back in Aug. 2008, our very first guest was 007 guitarist Vic Flick. Yep, the guy who played the original James Bond theme and performed on hit records for everyone from Peter and Gordon to Petula Clark to the soundtrack of A HARD DAY’S NIGHT. A few months later, DWP’s most popular guest to date talked with Wes Britton about his starring role in ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE—James Bond himself, George Lazenby.

On Aug. 16, 2011, Vic Flick and George Lazenby will appear together for the first time anywhere on our anniversary show. It’s quite a ride! In fact, the conversation quickly becomes the Vic Flick interviews George Lazenby feature with these two gents swapping memories, anecdotes, stories and jokes. No Bond fan should miss this one!

The show is scheduled to be available at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time at http://www.KSAV.org, which you can also find by CLICKING HERE. It will be run again at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Bond girl interview coming up this week

Wes Britton, a friend of this site, passes along the following:

When you think of Bond girls, the name Max Versterhalt might not jump to mind. However, she not only appeared in Roger Moore’s 1981 For Your Eyes Only, she was originally intended to be one of its stars.

On the next edition of the online radio show, Dave White Presents, Max tells her story, of how a poster of her promoting Greek tourism brought her to the attention of Cubby Broccoli, what went on during the filming of the casino scene, and what she thought of Roger Moore and director John Glen. She discusses a new website currently being constructed about “Bond Girls of Color.”

The other guests are Lonnie Burr, an original member of the Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeers and David Vasquez, author of Mr. Swan’s Big Idea; The Revitalization of America’s Railroads. These interviews, plus the usual “predictably unpredictable” comedy bits, will first air this Tuesday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. Pacific time, 10:30 EST over—

On April 1, the show will become available for 24/7 access at
